Sorry guys I gotta say that I have pretty much gotten myself into a 2005 Acura RSX-Type S. Please don't flame for this, don't waste my time. I love the rsx it drives like a dream, and I'm just not happy with the MSP anymore. Everything is going to be finalized this saturday and I should have my lovely new Pearl white type s within 10 days! I will still come on these boards and browse around and keep in touch, cause these boards are great and I will still be interested in everyone elses stories! Anyway my intake, dave B rings, custom shift boot, gauges and gauge pods are all for sale (all mods are in my sig). I will post a 4 sale thread on saturday with prices, but if anyone wants to make an offer then throw one my way. Kudos to the MSP it was a great car while I had it and I'm sure I'll miss it when I see one driving around. Later for now!

yeah leather for sure, I just love it so much, the 05 is redesigned, it now comes with 17's stock, and the interior is sooooooooo nice, and on the TD I must say stock for stock it felt faster than the MSP. Thanks BTW

The gearbox is 100000000X better than the MSP I like the interior is better and the V-tech is niccccccccce, it's so f-ing loud, 8300 rpm redline ain't bad either. Also it has cruise and a sunroof which are 2 options missing from the MSP. Most importantaly the rsx engine is way stronger than the MSP in terms of reliability. I still love my MSP though and am sorry to part with it and I will miss it dearly.....(I promised myself I wouldn't cry) but I just love the rsx so much!

hondata is not out for the K20Z yet.
and you made out good, the car comes with ITR cams (hence the motor code change). have fun.

I don't understand how all these people can afford to trade their cars in after less than 2 years. They HAVE to be losing their ass! (unless they paid cash, of course)

I was wondering the same thing. I couldn't afford to sell mine if I wanted to.

Very nice car. I drove one last week for the hell of it. Felt slow. ;)That's the problem...They FEEL slow. Whenever I drive my dad's I think I'm just cruising along, look down and I'm doing 90mph. Even with his I/H/E it's still very quiet. The second week he had it, he got pulled over doing 95 on the freeway! The cop dropped it to like 75 after he realized it was a 56 year old guy, and not some teenager:)

Nah I was actually referring to the fact that my MSP is faster (I trap at 96-97)

the rsx type s is junk. i had one before i got my msp. 5 rebuilt trans and bent vavles from bad forks not cover under warranty. engine internals not covered by acura. you pay to fix it.

The think about the new 05 RSX's is that they took away the ability to flash the ECU. That is why Hondata has not come out with a solution as of yet. Good luck! RSX's are good cars!

I dont know man....RSX-S just dont look as good or handle anywhere near as good as the MSP........But to each his own......personally if you had that much money to toss around why not a WRX or an EVO... Too me RSX's are way to much $$$$$ for not enough car!

True your car is a BEAST no doubt about it, but if you slap a turbo on an RSX...(shocked) (shocked) (shocked) (shocked) you can make some insane #'s. Granted to do that a lot of $ would have to be put into the car, but I'm sure you have put a lot of $ into yours as well. Not flaming at all, your car is a beast and you should be proud!(yippy)

Ok so you got a bad one, I'm sure that does not happen to every other RSX like it does to every other MSP. I wanted to do a lot to the MSP in terms of upgrades but the engine and tranny just aren't strong enough for me, the rsx on the other hand is a rock. Also the service from Acura is so much better, when I was talking to the sales rep about my car, he was like do whatever you want to it CAI exhaust header lower it, nothing to worry about. When my MSP had an exhaust leak they tried to blame it on my intake??????

I think the RSX looks better than the MSP....much better, but like you said to each his own. The 05 has been drastically improved in terms of handeling, on the TD I took it through some hard coners and I didn't notice too much difference from the MSP, almost the same. Also I can't get an EVO in Canada (damn canadian bumper regulations) casue if I could I would, love that car, and I think the WRX is nasty(pow)

The new type s's have 11:1 compression ratio... I havent done any homework on the them, but it doesnt seem like turboing that would be a good idea.

you have to swap internals for any of the turbo kits out there... Which isnt so different from our MSP's if you want to make some good numbers.

Exactely, you should do it right and swap out internals, I realize this has to be done for the RSX to make good #'s with a turbo, but I'm not looking into that right now. Thats why I got out of the MSP, to get away from the turbo cause there are so many things I wanted to do to it (basically everything azian6r has done to his car) and that's just way to much $ for me. I may turbo the rsx one day but that'll be like 3-4 years from now if ever.

If you check out clubrsx.com, you'll find more turbo'd type-s models than base models. and the base has something like a 9.8:1 CR....maybe less...i forget.
