250/55..that's a damn wide, tall tire...
Maybe he means 205... a 250 would never fit

I bought my wheels and tires from TireTrends. They're situated near Vancouver so I saved big time on shipping. They're prices are very competitive and our club (bcmazda) get's a 5% discount off their web prices.

If you lived closer i would just sell you my winter tires. But I can't ship them all the way to canada. They are just too big to fit in my wheel wells with the car lowered...

cool....i probably wont get back to you until tommorow though I will be out most of the night and will pm you back tommorow..thanks
Tire trends was $16.50 per corner cheaper than using OK Tire here in Calgary on my package so I paid the extra $66 to have someone to deal with live if something happens (TT $1067 all in and delivered, OK $1133 all in).
Not sure what tires you're looking at, but Costco is carrying Michelin X-Ice (at least in Calgary) for about the same as the Tire Trends price.
My dealership (Kramer) quoted me $250 per corner for a package including steel wheels and Toyo Garit HT rubber (mmmm, crushed walnut shells).
cheers,
ham

just thought that I would post a follow up to my order with tiretrends.....i ordered over the phone and the guy that i talked to was actually very knowledgeble....got an excellent deal on winter tires and steelies...it took a couple of weeks to get them because the wheels were on back order but they kept me updated and they arrived today...I would definitely go back to them again.......

Excellent to hear!
I'm looking for a place to buy from when the RSA's wear out (soon, I hope). I was thinking from ordering from tiretrends.com, but wanted to hear some feedback. They can deliver the Falken 512's for $400 less than the lowest price in town out-the-door. I just have to have them mounted/balanced/new stems locally, and even at the outrageous price of this service at $160 (they're soaking me, 'cuz I'm not buying the tires through them), I'm still saving $240...
Glad to hear you guys had good experiences - Thanks for posting them!
