Using Greddy TT as Boost gauge good enough?

Ok so i'm awaiting my joe p mbc, and i currently have a blitz turbo timer that has a boost gauge in it. Is this accurate enough to use to play with my boost until i can get a hold of a boost gauge and pods.

I would say that that gauge would be more accurate then any mechanical gauges
