was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is. it's on the intake manifold with 2 vacuum lines connected to it. i was removing one of the lines to replace it with a new one cuz i cut up the old one. well instead of twisting it off i wiggled on accident and one of the nozzles broke off. right now it's epoxy'd on but i want to replace it if it's not too expensive. just need to know what it is first. any help is appreciated...

It looks like it has a part number on it. Call a auto parts store, tell them your make and model and give them the part number. Maybe something will turn up. It's worth a try.

that thing is not needed...
You can hook that vacuum directly from its source.
But I have one also around....

why did you folks throw them away? is it an unnecessary part? i'm sure it wouldn't be there for nothing. does it provide feedback to the computer? do you have a check engine like without it? just wondering why it's there if it isn't needed.

Thought that you guys might like that one.
No really, with the mods and the fact that my ECU isn't even hooked to all that anymore, it's really dead weight and alot of useless crap under the hood.

hey thanks....sorry but an "activation solenoid thingy" doesn't quite do it for me. and i'm looking specifically for what it does. it's obviously not too important if people are running without them.

its as i stated before.
They don't use the stock ecu, thats why they don't use them.
It controls the fuel pressure regulator. As I told you before, I have an extra one, if you need it.
Wasn't I clear before?

not yet, i'm still broke but i haven't forgotten about those that told me they have extras. car doesn't seem to have any problems but i still want to replace it. anything i might want to look for that might indicate that its really broken and needs fixing right away?
