Hey guys,
I'm an MP3 guy and I'm sure most of you will be able to answer my question. I just got the most revised MSP LSD installed on my car along with a spec stage III clutch.
I'm aware that there were two different LSD releases for the MSP. Was that just one of the revisions along with the new wing and front end they made along with the second generation of MSP?
How does it differ from the first release? Thanks!

They made the revised ones "stronger" by making the lsd action weaker. You will be a one-wheel peeler around corners It no longer uses spring force on the clutch packs.
No MSP came from the factory with these.

hmm stock msp lsds are pretty lame, should of gone with the quaiffe...dont get me wrong you'll notice a traction difference, but they're just poor quality and dont hold up well to abuse...

The revised version only showed up when they started cracking. It was never in the car from the factory.

I think if you add some welds like Turfburn did then the unit should hold up pretty well.

hehe- well I initially wasn't going for any LSD at all- just a clutch replacement. BTW Duane I owe you $50 bucks! :)

welding it is cheaper then buying a quaiffe, and probaly works almost aswell.

Welding's cheaper, but I think our LSD is a 2 to 1 and the Quaife is 5 to 1... If you're really into Auto-X or you're working on 12's with a daily driver, it'd be a worthy investment.
