opinion on exhaust

what would you guys prefer. would you rather have an exhuast that was the freest flowing possible and pretty f'in loud, or an exhaust with a decent resonator that might lose 2hp or so... this is in refrence to a custom 3" turboback...

i would personally want something in between 'quiet' and 'really damn loud', but between the two i would go quiet w/ massive gains.

the gains are mainly what's important to me, and the sound will only draw more attention, good and bad (dam those po po).

i guess the point i might not have made clearly, there will be a lesser gain if the system is quieter

No resonator... Going custom is a good way to go but it is done off hand and not fabbed with most hp in mind. Go with the most hp gain.

i don't like loud exhausts much. too hard to have a conversation while you're driving. 2 hp is not gonna kill you.

I would say gimme the loud one...i personally love that sweet sound. BUT, it can't be overly annoying-i can hear you from 5 miles away-and your car sounds like shit- loud. I like the performance + the sound is great too....just not obnoxious (sp?) My 2c.
