I am planning on getting an Apex DP with cat and I was wondering what exhaust produces the most hp with that setup. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

im guessing either apex or spool.
you can go custom and spend less and get the same thing. You can choose your own muff too.

cat back won't make a huge difference, the midpipe will make more.

You wont see much with the catback. But if you have to get one the apex catback seems like it has the least bends so I would go with that one. If you go custom you will spend close to the same amount as the apex if you get the piping ss and mandrel bent w/ a apexi muffler.

I don't think Corksport's exhaust will hookup to an apex DP, but I could be wrong, as I frequently am.

A 3in custom is the way to go... I think Apex's system is under the axle. I'm not sure here, but I'd be worried about an under-the-axle system, if I overlooked a speed bump.
***wanted to add that a cat back alone won't make much of a difference, but if you've got the DP already, it'll help some***

No the Apex DP won't mate up to the CS exhaust unless you mod either or both.

Ionno... i prefer the Greddy SP2... sounds great, quiet sound.. but sounds nice when you get up on it. 2.5in all the way... got the STOCK LOOK kinda... much different than a huge can.... but whatever floats ur boat =)

the sp2 proved to have no gain, they did redesign it last i heard so things may have change.
Get anything alway the way through 2.5 if you staying kinda low boost or lil higher then stock or NA. 3in for higher boost applications.

No gains is correct, or a loss of hp according one dyno.
The corksport is not a catback. It bolts right in front of the cats in the msp and removse one cat on the mp3/pro.

Which would be better for the money the CS exhaust or the DP and stock exhaust? Also will the CS throw the CEL?

Just do it right the first time and get iON's turboback, and then wait, and wait, and wait, and wait...
I'm waiting right now, to make some money so I can dump my exhaust system and buy iON's.

Wow I didn't think it was that much. I don't have the money for that. The MSP is my daily so I just wanted a little more power than it has already.I am about to drop a lot of money into my other car that I race.

the base price for iON TB exhaust for forum members is $1299 plus shipping. Then, you can have them do a cat delete pipe for extra, add a resonator, add a wideband o2 bung in there, get the DP coated, etc for a little more. If you think about it, the apex catback is $550, and if you get a DL with high flow cat, you're looking at another $400 plus shipping. That comes out to $950, whereas the full TB, including the holy grail of all MSP parts, the S- and J- pipe combo DP, for $350 more, all in 3" piping too, which IMO, is well worth it. However, if you're going to keep it as your daily driver and are not planning on purchasing some sort of DP (J pipe and midpipe combo), then I suggest not buying anything at all. Either that, or go with Corksport j-pipe back, it seems to get decent results, and won't be as much a waste of money as my exhaust seems to be powerwise.

If I were you I would purchase the Perrin exhaust. I would never buy the ion exhaust even if I was rich. All they do is make excuses and there parts never come out right and you have to wait months before you get your product after you already paid in full, ..etc. Perrin is the way to go. Check out www.*************** (http://www.***************) for pricing

Corksport baby! With the final piece needed for a full turbo back total spent will be between $500-$600. You cannot beat that unless you got a custon deal.
