ive been thinking about getting a new muffler for a couple of reasons a) the msp mufflers are pretty restrictive, that = baddd b) it sounds good, but WAY too quiet....i dont wanna be abnoxious, but c'mon, lemme here the sweet tone c) my stock is cracking and mazda is being bitchy about it and won't replace it.... so, here i go. i got the following page from corksport, and was wondering what ya'll know about the exhausts on here. Im especially looking at the N1 and the last two on the page...but i know nothing about any of them--so give me some input. I want a nice sound, relatively cheap. IF there are other better mufflers out there, give me some.

Thanks.

hey, that sounds pretty good to me...again, i don't really know a whole bunch about them or yours. Im simply looking for a muffler that is going to free up the exhaust a bit (which all the aftermarket ones do...), add some bling to my rear as i pass people, and has a NICE deep tone to it -- like the stock sound, but louder! I don't wanna spend an arm and a leg either....i have only heard the HKS Hi muffy in person and it sounded real nice. So, gimme some more info...maybe some soundclips? Thanks a lot.

ps: no ditch to you...but ive never really heard of any of those 'cept ractive...you're not tryin' to sell me trash are ye'?

....the mega sticky? hmm...i am confused. Anyways, not really related, but i noticed that you are in college station -- i assume you are a student at A&M? I'll be out there on oct. 22nd for a college visit, perhaps i'd see you there, although i don't know if i'll have the time for anything. I am definitely a possible future A&M student.

there's no reason they shouldn't fix you up. if they don't budge, head up to premiere mazda in georgetown. that's where i bought my car, and even though it a ways out, imma start takin my car there - i don't like the roger beasley guys...they stole my oakleys...

They stole your freakin' oakleys??!?! bitches....anywho, no mods and just inside the exhaust tip are 2 'stress fractures' it looks like -- one on the left and one on the right inside the tip about .4 cm from the end. It's not terrible....yet. But no, they won't do it. Now my sub is blown too....neat.
I'll prolly have to try premiere. Beasley has always sucked anyways....

the stock muffler isn't very restrictive unless you're referring the inlet/outlet diameters.

ya i had to have my rear skirt re-done (it was falling off), and my glasses were in that din spot w/ the door (that's why i forgot to take em out..). i get the car back, and things look good, so i take off. get on the road and go for glasses and they're gone. i call beasley and they don't know a thing. they say the body shop did it. i call them, and they don't know a thing. glasses must not have liked my head enough to stay where i put them...

i had those fracture on my tip, and they said they'd replace it no problem (until they saw i had a cat back and had reused the tip, so then they said no). does your car still have a warranty? i assume it does...it's a 03.5...

they should replace the sub and the axleback free of charge b/c they should both be under warranty.

call premiere first just to make sure they can do those repairs.

i didn't really feel any improvement....not that i was expecting any since the stock downpipe/midpipe still remain in place.

ya there wasn't much change other than the sound...

i'm hoping the apex dp in conjuction with my catback makes a signficant difference, though..
