MSP ran great. Mods are only Corksport exhaust and Vibrant cat. I have a K&N drop in filter also. Car sounded sweet on the Dyno too. My wife was amazed at how much the motor moved in the bay. Motor mounts are next on the list.

Nikki's car of course blew mine away, but attests to the accuracy of the dyno. These numbers are within 2 hp and 4 ft/lbs of ten stock SRT4 dynos. I have no idea what was up with the A/F on her car, I think the probe wasn't in all the way. It was funny to hear a guy tell his kids that the car wasn't stock like she didn't know anything about her car.

Anyways, just thought I'd share.

That's my wife's stock 2004 SRT-4. It was running 15 psi in fourth.

How come it looks like the srt-4 was affected more by heatsoak than the MSP? I thought our intercoolers were crap and heatsoaked so much? Whats the srt-4's excuse?lol

Nice dyno for the SRT-4.

I did notice that too. The stock ECU in the SRT has a boost bleed feature taht drops boost as you approach redline. It redlines lower because of the longer stroke in the 2.4L. Stage 1 and 2 eliminate that feature so you can maintain boost all the way up.

The SRT runs were immediately back to back, as soon as the RPMs fell, they ran it again. The MSP had at least 30 seconds between runs.

ahh ok...yea the mopar ecus are much better, my roomate is about to get a stage 1 i think if he has enough money, its only like what 300 bucks? but the 04s have stage 1 injectors if im not mistaken, so you can always sell those off =)

hey this is kind of off topic but vega have you seen the original commercial for the srt-4 where the kid takes his brother srt-4 out to pickup a chick and races a wrx? i just find it ironic that people are having problems getting warranty work do to "racing abuse" but that was their selling point( the commercial) i don't think it aired very long.

Yeah, it is pretty stupid. I have it as a file but I don't know how to host it. Besides, the MSP is a better car to get chicks, there is no way in hell two people can fit in the SRT passenger seat!

122_vega- Have you dynoed your car stock? If so what were the numbers or do you have the dyno plot available. I am just curious as to what your gain is for stock vs mods.

That SRT's A/F graph makes me nervous. I hope that the probe wasn't in all the way.

No I don't have stock numbers, never got around to it.

I looked at other SRT graphs and none looked like this. The dark blue line is pretty close though.

lookin at the a/f for the msp...something just don't look right..

at like 3.5k rpms..when your in boost you are in the 13-14's a/f.

What's up with that?

Well, most other MSPs turn lean towards the top end too. Mine doesn't. Maybe my cat burns better, or worse than stock, but not bad enough to throw a CEL.

I remember Turboge saying when he was putting the Emanage on his MSP, it was random when it decided to make the switch from open loop to closed loop.

I don't know, But I'd sure like to see 12.5 to 11.5 across the board

from Dodge. I don't know how to host it though. It is really funny, and kind of sums up the life of the average SRT owner.

why is ur torque over 25lb of stock ? u gained all that from the corksport exhuast ? thats impressive

I think this is why:

by freeing up the exhaust the stock boost changes to a higher level. So when you do exhaust you make power and run higher boost which also makes power. N/A cars dont get this benefit because the dont get any gained psi. (hence N/A)

But, maybe he has a boost controller set at exactly 6 psi, then i dont think that explanation would apply.

Stock boost, but it probably did aloow a little more than stock with the exhaust. It really did make a great diference on the street.

I'll see if I can send the file.

Yeah, my boost went up to about 1psi or a little less since the exhaust install. I dont watch it all the time to be sure though.

Phreak- I will hit you up after.

the stock msp's that I've seen have run around 150 hp and 155 tq, yours was like 155 hp and 175 tq, I'm confused at the performance of corksport as the Ion msp exhaust gives 20+hp to the wheels. what do you think about that? you got tons of tq, but not much increase in hp?

note the corksport is $350.00 (catless)

while the Ion is 1000.00+ (a big pain in the ass to install, but is complete)

You can't use his car as a gauge to get the HP number of the CS exhaust. If it was a back to back dyno with and without the exhaust that'd be another story.

For reference, my car made a peak of 7whp with the CS exhaust (back to back). This information is posted on Cork Sport's website.

122 Vega,

Just curious as to why they only ran your MSP to about 5200-5500 rpm's since our horsepower peak is supposed to be at about 6000 rpm's. By the look of the graph, it seems as if your MSP is still increasing in hp when the dyno pulls are ended. Maybe this explains why your up on torque and low on hp.
