Just to clarify: The pics posted by LinuxRacr are of the MPS 626, which went to car shows two years ago. The posted specs of the new Mazda6 MPS are:
280 hp (or thereabouts) turbocharged 2.3 liter I-4
6 speed transmission
Full-time electronically torque controlled AWD system
The Mazda6 MPS is a hatchback. No production plans have been announced, but given Mazda's commitment to the MazdaSpeed series, you should see a MazdaSpeed 6 within the next year or two. I doubt they'd make a wagon version, but that would be ubercool if they did.

Yeah, I remember reading the Mazda6 is directly aimed at the Audi A4 and BMW 3 series!!! This could be really interesting!
