So I know the vibrations are normal and are not all that bad except for the fact that the rear deck seems to be falling apart. It sounds like ass so I am going to have to take it apart and see where that is all coming from.
But my main worry is this somewhat high pitch whinning in first gear while I am not in boost. Just taking off from a stop, not punching it or even hitting boost at all there seems to be a high pitch whinning that I have never heard before with the stock motor mount in. Any ideas what this could be caused by? Also do the bolts on the motor mount come lose at all after putting the new one in?

Prolly the tranny gears meshing together. The sound is now just transmitted through the cabin much more noticably.

I have the whine as well.
I have had mine in for 2 months now (Front MT, Rear AT) and they do settle somewhat.
That being said, my car is pretty loud with the mounts, Corksport exhaust, and Injen.
Sounds badass though.
I had to get more stereo gear to be able to hear the music!

Yea... mine does the same thing, have another post about this somewhere. I guess everyone is saying the whine is caused by the mount transmitting more noise through the cabin.

I've had the AWR mounts for about 3 months now. I don't recall the noise you guys are talking about. My exhasut headshield under the car (I'm only assuming that's it) vibrates SUPER bad when i'm slowing down.

My rear deck is the worst, everytime the rpms did down around 500 or less it feels like the car is going to fall apart. That bring me to my next question, when your car is warm and just sitting what are your rpms at. And I was going to ask if everything gets louder from the engine but never mind because that was already answered.

What exactly do you mean by rear deck?
My car's idle can fluctuate due to the mods done to it. Always under 1k though.

The transmissions are noisy, and the mounts transmit the noise more than the stock ones.

What I mean by rear deck is the area where the fake speak enclosures are. It sounds like there is a bunch of noise coming from there.

my fucking deck is getting terrible. When i first crank the car the sound from the exhaust makes it vibrate like a bitch, i'm going to try to fix it when i'm back from vegas. The rear deck is a POS.

I have the whine too, except it's in all gears...most noticeably in 4th at 2k. I was going to have the dealer look at it because I was hoping it's not here to stay.

Getting rid of the rear deck rattle is solved with some weather stripping or insulation tape and an afternoon. There's a few threads floating around here about it.
Also wanted to add that the mm bolts probably won't come loose as long as they're torqued enough, but it'd probably be a good idea to check them when you change your oil.

These are the prices you pay with performance parts.... There's trade-offs for everything.
