corksport exhaust

Hey guys, i need help, my corksport exhaust is on the way, and i still dont know how many catilytic converters i have. I live in nj and if i dont have a catilytic converter ill fail inspecion, and probably get a ticket. Is there anyone that knows anything about the 99-00 protege es 1.8 exhaust manifold or anything? I heard i have 1 cat under the car, and 1 cat in the exhaust manfold. I really need to know. thanx

you have 1 right after the manifold and on under the car. You'll need to weld one in on your corksport exhaust

Can it work with just the cat under the exhaust manifold?

Do i need another cat under the car too to pass inspection?

you have 2 O2 sensors, one before the first cat, and one after the second cat? i believe... i am probably wrong. But I know for a fact that if you don't have the second O2 sensor you will throw a CEL and fail emissions. Its not that hard to have a hi-flow cat welded into the pipe from your corksport exhaust.

I just put my stock exhaust back in before my inspection. I only have to do it once per year and it only takes about 15 minutes.

thanx, thats exactly what i plan to do, put the stock one back one whenever i need to get inspection. Just making sure cuz i konw the second 02 sensor connects on the bottom of the car. Thanx guys
