Problems removing screws from A/C controls

[FONT=Arial]I have a question about my 2001 Protege ES. I have the factory 6-disc changer in dash, and i'm trying to remove the cover around the stereo but there is no good way to get to the 2 screws that connect the A/C controls. Is there any easy way to do this? Any comments would help a lot.

small offset screwdriver and alot of patience. (sp) or just pull the cables to the a/c control cables! plus their is 4 screws around the a/c controls

so pretty much pull the stereo and then work on the screws!!
