Sorry to hear bro. Under 600 is a tall order, what kind of power do you need the clutch to hold?

i havent done anyting to the internals of the engine just a dp so factory replacement lsd will do the clutch might end up being the act and fidanza flyweel (if i have it apart im not doing it again)
i really dont like messin with the warenty cause of the experences that other people have had with mazda im just going to get estmates and try to see about takeing the parts to a shop myself (in other words im eating this one)

If all you have is a DP and nothing else, then your LSD should be covered no problem.

well i looked into the research and all of the failed clutch threads mentions clutch slipping . mine has never slipped it always grabbed like a champ. seein as it went BOOM (insert loud popping noise) i feel that its the lsd. it was tlie something broke. I just dont want to have a bad mazda story to go with the broken lsd

With how many have broken, they should just recall the damn LSD.

Unless you have dead bodies in the trunk you have no reason to not get that warrantied. Go to the dealer, tell them to find out what went wrong and replace it. No biggie. Unless you have been ragging on it or you have more mods than you are mentioning then take it in. Get a new clutch and do this dance (dance)

I've had my LSD replaced, my axles replaced twice, clutch replaced one, a new transmission when they did the LSD and now possibly another transmission due to the dealership not putting fluid back in after installing that new tranny. While I've been lucky and I thank my dealership for helping.. I'd strongly advise you talk to yours. This is a very common problem; common enough that Mazda changed the LSD design. This should *NOT* be a problem, however intimidating it may be to play the 'wait to find out' game.

Take it in, DP voids only the cats and possibly last 02 sensor. They shouldn't give you any problems.

Be advised that the Sevice person for Hiley Mazda can be a real bitch/prick depending on where you stand. Go to Freeman, and talk to Johnny Taylor.

Hiley kicked ass for me 3 times in a row. I would take your DP off and go see them. Worst thing they can say is no. Damn, give Mazda a chance.
Sorry to hear your car is broken good luck.

Go to Freeman, and talk to Johnny Taylor.I know she can be gruff but so far they have replaced my bushings twice and my exhaust once. Either way take it to a dealer and see how they treat you. You might be suprised.
