1. Can I just get any BOV for the MAZDASPEED? I've heard the Turbo XS on a WRX and really liked the sound.
2. Where do they usually hook up?
3. Will they increase turbo spool up time significantly? I want the "hoot" sound put I don't want to screw if the MSP's driveability.
4. Any vendors online that you all would recommend purchasing one?

You need a bypass valve, not a BOV. A bov vent to the atmosphere, creating a rich condition and the motor stumbles. A by pass valve recirculates the air charge back into the intake stream pre-maf.... I believe the TurboXS Type-H is what you are looking for. There are a few others on the market that recirc.

Bypass valve - check. As long as I get the ricey WOOSH its all good.
This part worries me though:
"The BOV Type H provides greater venting flow than the Type S and is designed for turbo charged engines running 10 to 25 psi boost. "
I have heard the Flyin' Miata Bypass valve fits perfectly though for the BEGI kit. I wonder if that would be the same case for the MSP.
