Was it outside an elementary school? I think your car was trying to get you to learn how to articulate your thoughts and feelings in an intelligible manner.

I feel your pain. You need to go to a dealership that has a Mazdaspeed mechanic. Not every dealer has one or even knows who they are. lol My car shut off on me after it stalled twice.. at first I thought it was a hose that came loose and I lost boost, but then I looked at my gauges...my car was in the red and overheated. It shut off automatically and the engine light went on. It's funny, the first thing I always looked at was the boost and air/fuel gauges.. not to check if it overheats. duhhh lol My car has been losing alot of coolant lately because I had to change out the hoses that came with my catch can overflow. They were crappy.

So, did you find out why your car quit on you? My P5 has died at a stoplight twice for no reason, but it'll start back up.

It stalled a few times.. then shut off....all the dummy lights came on. The turbo timer went nuts also. After checking all the hoses and fluid levels, I noticed the temp gauge was at the top and wanted to smack myself in the head for not noticing it earlier. It happened in a matter of minutes and luckily I was only a few feet from a gas station. It was fine once I put coolant back in, but I did get a bad scare considering that I thought it was a head gasket that had blown. lol It made a knocking noise and had white smoke right before I pulled in. The plastic on my radiator cap was even melted! Hopefully, all is well now and since then I've had zero problems. Oil looks fine, coolant seems to be staying put, and all lights have ceased the minute it cooled down. Pretty cool to know that the ECU reads the problem and the car automatically shuts itself off. NOT cool when you're on a busy street though. But I'd rather have that then a blown gasket or engine.

Have someone check your ECU just in case if you havent already.. should be throwing a code.

My biggest fear has been leaving my car somewhere that I cant keep an eye on it. Then I can imagine coming back... it's on blocks and everything is gone. lol I would have a heart attack. I already have to park my car near a window when I eat at a resturant, check it for dings and scratches when I park in a lot or the mall, freak out everytime I hear a new noise... the list goes on. Hopefully they will find the problem and all will be well for you.

im no too worried on it getting stolen butu ever notice that when u park far away next to no one u always get a dent

I try to park next to people because it will be that one person out in the middle of BFE that will git u! Just make sure you dont park next to a Buick or other kind of boat and you should be fine. I usually make it a habit to park next to a rich persons car.. they tend to care more about the money they just shelled out. :D

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. Towed it to Great Neck Mazda (won't see them again) and it was discovered that the intake hose slipped off.

I had mine towed to great neck mazda, too. I Just picked it up a lil while ago, they said it was a bad fuel pump i think, also i got my oil changed, had my fogs tightend and secured, the mechanic also found that, the name slips my mind, rubber bushing??? cracked so he replaced both sides and also he ordered me a sub and amp deck cause mine was crackling, and this all cost me absolutely nothing :D

A non destructive way of getting the bad tech back would be to draw a penis on his window with mustard. Actually any image like that, and any condiment you want lol.

Glad to hear it all worked out. Shame they found so many problems, hopefully that will be the end of it for you.

The tech that pissed me off was Paul Sighn, the head tech. He was so freaking rude to me and didn't take proper care of my car. Because of him, I gave that dealership really bad marks on the survey. I think the SA, Mike, also pretended to be the Service Manager on the phone, when called to complain about his sloppy job.
