hey people i am having the usual problem getting my car worked with at the dealership... they wont even look at my car because it has mods done to it. they told me to put it back to stock before they would look at it. now the funny thing is i dont have anything done to the whole ABS system. what do i do? i got the workshop manual from a buddy and it said to read the codes, and they point out the ABS controller... which is a pretty expensive part. is there anything that i can do to get the damn dealership to fix the car without pulling all the mods off????? oh yeah they even want me to put my stock hood back on the car... like it would do anything.

Take it to another, cooler dealer.

This is total bullshit. You have two options:
1) Go to another dealer. I agree, and
2) call mazda corporate USA (see website) and report the dealer. As long as your mods have nothing to do with the part being fixed, you are fine. Hell, I had my P5 flashed to eliminate cold weather rattle after installing a CAI. Either way, you need to call and report the dealer to Mazda. It WORKS.

the only check engine light codes is saying there is no speed sensor signal... which goes through the abs controller.. but the diagnostic check that i ran was on just the abs system... which called for a malfunction of the abs controller. thanks for the info on reporting them... i am definately going to be doing it.

Don't know about the ABS light, but simply changing the pads got rid of the parking break light problem on my Pathfinder.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. The dealership had to replace the right rear ABS sensor (covered under warantee of course). Just find a dealership that doesn't suck.
