I was wondering if you guys think the tornado thing in the intake pipe really works or not. Surprisingly, it gets mixed reviews from everyone I talk to, I have heard it works from firsthand experience and people that know a lot about mechanics en stuff say it is bullshit. Any comments?

I have't tried it but let put it this way: if it worked, car manuf. would put it in since you can make a plastic one for a couple of cents... Car racing would certainly use it too if it gave extra power. I'm sure they all tested it! Bottom line: it's BS just like all those fuel saving devices!

If you buy the "tornado" I suggest you buy those fuel line magnets to optimize the gains!

LOL, the inventors aim to get the uneducated consumers of the market.

Last month's Consumer Reports had a review of several of these devices. They said all of their tests confirm they don't make ANY difference in mileage or power.

Tornados are, in fact, real, though.

Actually this is the best mod I have done to my car in a long time. I gained 30whp at the dyno last week.

Don't forget lower cruising rpms also.

We have a Tornado in our intakes already, it's called a turbo!

i think you would see the most gains if you got some new muffler bearings.

Personally, I go with "The Hurricane". 30 whp, and stun-shield capability.

it only works if you install it with a few good dabs of elbow grease. Don't forget to check your halogen fluid when you're done!

We tested it on a dyno in ford ranger at school. Lost 6.1 hp, gained .12 ft/lbs torque. And we actually gained 1.6mpg using it (probably due to the lost hp not using as much fuel).
