now, i know some people will say "who cares what others think blah blah blah im stupid" but i do care what others think of my car. i take pride in things that i own. now, i have recently fallen in love with spicy orange. i just love it, i think it looks so good. my car is currently sunlight silver. what do you guys think of jumping to the spicy orange. i know it wouldnt be an original like the regular spicys, but it would be a spicy 03.5. my DAD even loves the spicy. so what do you guys think?

Seriously I got black cause I can't stand bright colors for too long. Yeah yellow, orange are cool but after about a year I'd get sick of it. Draws too much of the wrong attention aka police for one, but if you want a unique look there aren't too many orange cars on the road, not to mention you'll have the only orange 3.5 that I know of.

whats so funny? hey how do you like those euro headlights from procarparts? do you have any pics of them on your car?

i want to go with either orange or blue, im 17 and i will have this car through the end of my teens possibly into low twenties. its my flashy time ya know? i mean these are my years to have subs and stuff.

edit, where did his post go

yes. it has a lot of body damage right now so i need to get a fender, mirror, door, rear bumper and lip, and my new auto ex lip painted. so its the only time i will have the option to paint the car.

i have yellow now, and if orange was possible in the 3.5 it would have been a done deal. i think that is the best color mazda has ever made. and since there were no new 03's i had to get a 3.5. and the 3.5 style has grown on me more than the 03

you'll get a lot of attention, even from people you don't want it from.. if you know what i mean ::scratch scratch::

i like the 03 interior better, which is just some simple stitching and stuff, maybe someone would want to trade seats.

raku

also, i already get a lot of that attention cuz of loud exhaust and the turkey noise haha. not to mentionbeing a shady seventeen year old with loud music.

i'm trying to make my car less flashy... but do what you like. if you can live with spicy orange go for it.

I've had my car for a year and a half with around 45k city miles (minus two trips to Colorado) and it's not the car that get's police attention, its the driver. If you speed, you'll be caught. You're just a bit more visible in a bright ass orange/yellow car.

I'd strongly oppose doing the conversion but that's just cause I have a spicy and I'm rather proud of there only being 825 of them. If you do spicy orange, make it a two tone with a grey or something to be unique. May as well do something nice, yanno?

Honestly if you dont like the silver you have now I would get it painted championship white and be original instead of getting a stock msp color. I think a white 03.5 msp would be badass.

I love the Orange, and I agree with the T3ase it is how you drive not the color of your car.
I get asked 10 times a week "is that a custome color?"

i think that pearl white would look really good, especially with the darker racing harts that the 03.5 has. if i just had money laying around, a pearl white paint job would be the way to go.

some dark grey/titanium accents (pinstripe or whatever) would also look good, and match the wheels real well.

However, I hope you understand everything that's involved in a color change. Sure, you could get it for $300 at Maaco, but if you want it done right, you have to strip everything off the car & cough up several thousand dollars.

It's not EVERYTHING, unless you strip the car down to the frame. :p Also keep in mind that several people have had trouble getting Spicy Orange to look right with the Mica.

actually, i dont like red, but i think a red one would look sweet. i dunno tho red is starting to grown on me alot as well. but yea i thought you were considering doing a trade in, i wouldnt mess iwth getting a complete paint job to a stock color either. you would have your choice of literally anything out there. red, ferrari blue, or even lambo orange. but if you are considering a different color, i would get something other than a stock option for a complete paint job. custom paint is supposed to be just that, CUSTOM.

I don't think I can see red on a protege... it just doesn't work in my mind (but I do love red... I used to have a red MX-6)

I personally think you should paint it a color that the msp's dont come in like mentioned before red and white would look really cool. Very unique. I think white would look better though to me.

Spicy Orange = attention from friendly Mr. Police officer. From your description, it doesn't sound like you need the extra draw, if you know what I mean. :p

If it was me, I'd go with a non-mazda color: Championship White (honda)

White sucks. Get something different from the rest of the zillion of other cars on the road. You can't beat the spicy orange, no doubt. I'd either get that or get some sort of "electric green" or something. But orange is #1. It really doesn't draw any extra "attention" from the wrong people - just depends how you use the car. The only thing the orange does is that if you DO get pulled over for something, count on the officer being an asshole if you're driving a spicy.
