Does this filter do anything that you can feel. i have a mazdaspeed axel back, racingbeat springs/stabilizer bars/strut bar, and tokico shocks? just wondering if the mod is worth $30? also do anyone have pics of it in his/her car? thanks for all the info and reading

No, if you look for performance, especially if you are planning on getting an intake later. Other than a smoother idle it won't add anything you can feel. And it will be wasted after you take out the OEM air box when you get an intake.

You're all assuming that he wants to go with an aftermarket CAI or SRI.

For$30, you may get some performance benefits. I'm actually planning on going back to the stock intake setup (read: minimal heat soak) and make mods to that.

Exactly. He won't have to buy paper filters anymore, and with the stock box he won't lose some low-end torque.

I hear alot of people say you lose low end with the CAI but I haven't notice any difference. I went from the stock air box ( modified ) with K&N filter to Ingen. No Difference.

Well, I'll almost guarantee that you (nor anyone else - myself included with my SRI) won't notice a low end loss because your driving behaviors more than likely changed [after you installed your CAI].

Most people that install a mod (intake, etc) almost always drive like ass burglars afterwards to "check out how much of a improvement it made" (blah). People will wind it up to 3k+ to launch just so they can "hear the performance" of the I/H/E combination punishing the pavement and "embarrass" the Honduh driver next to them.....(piss)

that is so true lol...but yes, if you don't want to go CAI or SRI, K&N is a good deal, you'll get better gas mileage fosho

Not me. I'm making it clear so there shouldn't be any confusion for him. And if you need clarification too, just let me know. Overracting???! give me a break.

i get what your saying. im not sure on what i want to do with the car engine wise but the suspension set up(racingbeat springs/stabilizer bars and tokico shocks) i have is great. the car isn't that fast but its also not that slow. i felt a difference with the mazdaspeed axel back. i want it to just rev consistant to the redline. like when ur redling in second gear it seems to pull slower than when you are in third gear. third gear seems faster than second gear. im guessing a obx header would fix that problem because its a 4 to 1 header(i think) which improves high end power but everyone is saying that they get a small increase in accel, at high rpms. my mid range power is fine but its the high end that i want to change. any suggestions and thanks for reading
