need help

ok i am posting this here becouse i want as many people to see it as possible...i need some help. on april 3rd 2004 i bought a header from streetstyler.com. they charged my account the next day and i have the bank records to prove that and i have a recipt from ss.com but i never got the header. i called them about a month after i ordered it to see what the hell was going on and they told me it was on back order and they would call me with a update it a couple of day, well they never called and i just let it go but now i am getting pissed becouse i really want the header or my money back! i hear everyone else talk about it and it drives me up the wall. so i called them about a million times today and noone answered so i e-mailed them a kinda pissed kinda not letter, basically what i want to know is... can i really do anything about this or just bend over and let it happen? please help, for my moneys sake... or so i can get my header finally!

Which header? We deal with the OBX one all the time and it has never been backordered as of yey. *shrugs*

You need to file a formal complaint with the area Better Business Bureau. Usually only takes about 10 minutes and you can probably do it online. You can also find out about other complaints about that company. Can take up to 30 days for the investigation and to get some answer back. Do this first. Then when you have a case number you can call your credit card company and dispute the charges to get your money back if the part doesn't arrive in the mean time from the BBB prompting. Good luck.

i had a smiliar prob with some knock-off dynamat i bought, i ordered online and then i choose 2 fedex and never got it, i called but their mailbox was full. no emails were returned either, finally after about a month i went to my bank and they credited my money back the next day and they(visa, since i have a check card) went after the company. got a letter about a month after that saying that the whole ordeal was complete

i live in lexington (near bloomington/Normal) but i am going to school in chicago right now. yeah i sent them a e-mail telling them that if they did not contact me and work this out that i would go to the better buisness bureau, i am still waiting on a response. i think i am just going to go to the bbb anyway. oh and yes it was the obx and i just checked there site they dont even have it on there anymore for my year and my engine. i used a online check feature the site had and not a cc do you think that would make any difference? i can still get the record from my bank saying the account was charged! thanks for the help...

Im not sure about the dispute with the bank issue. Im not familair with the online check stuff. But yeah, the OBX header for an 03 ES would be the 2.0, and they definetly have those, we get orders all the time.

Where in chicago are you going to school? if you have any freetime we should meetup.

you should contact your bank and see if they can do a stop payment order on that "eCheck" asap

no not really i only have internet ability when i come home to bloomington, but i could pm you my cell number... that is pretty much my only means of comunication when im in chicago, i can get on the internet at work from time to time...
