Mazda called me today, they have the production numbers in my car is number 736 (i feel so special)

well i called mazda a few times and they didnt have them. they just called me back and left a message and said based on my VIN# that thats my production number.. call 1-800-222-5500 and then hit 4. tell them you have a MP3 and want to know your production number.

Just got my message from Mazda North anerican Ops Customer Support. My Production # is 141/1500. I know its not the lowest but I do like oatmeal rasin, hehehe

Called Mazda today to find out my pro #. Got right through gave her my vin and she gave me my pro # in about 10 seconds. Very fast service. Production Number 239 :eek:

I've heard that the blues were made first, and I think that I've read it somewhere, but don't remember where. It would be logical that the first yellow one would be #1001, but again, I don't know for sure.

Called today. Mfd. 4/11/01 and it's number 1115. Blues were made before yellows, tf 1-1000 are laser blue mica and 1001-1500 are vivid yellow. :cool:

:D Found out that mine is number 1,256 and it is Blue and born on 4-18-01 so i dont know who wrote that the blues were only made 1-1000 but the lady at mazda said it isnt true. Before i bought the car i put the Carbon Tails on it so when i entered into Nopi it would be Differnt and it is sweet!!!! :p

Called Mazda on Monday and checked out the production number for my yellow MP3. I'm number 1153.

Here's the official scoop from Mazda North America...I actually spoke with a person who cared enough to inquire with the correct department to find out the total/colors produced:

1500 total including Canada
1180 blue
320 yellow

Mine is #1469, yellow

Hope this clears up the confusion!

Also, if interested...production begins on the RX-8 in late 2002, as a 2003 model.
