00 rear = 01 rear?

I found a 2000 silver protege with a mint condition rear bumper, and was wondering if it'll fit on my 2001 silver protege.
I think that mazda used 22V (sunlight silver) on the 2000 models, right? I'm 99% sure the rear bumper is the same on both models, but can someone confirm it?

hahaha. it's best explained with crazy hand gestures.. but like 3 months after i bought the car, i was backing into my driveway (about 3" on either side of the car) and there was a pipe in the ground that stuck out about 10", obviously, i couldn't see it, and didn't think about it.. it made it's way under the bumper and when i tried to straighten out, it ripped off my bumper.
i paid my cousin's boyfriend (at the time) CDN$150 to fix and 'repaint' the bumper... well, the bumper is sagging and the paint is chipping, and the ex-boyfriend is nowhere to be found... so i'm just going to buy another that's in near-mint shape and slap it on myself, use some compound to make it shine again and get rid of the mild scratches :) much cheaper than anything else.. although i dunno if the JY will ship.. if not, there's LOTS of scrapped Pros around here where i can sand the rear bumper myself and just get it primered and painted for CDN$100-150 :)

do you need just the cover or the rebar? because midway through the 2000 model year the rear bumper rebars were changed.

sounds like you just need the cover, but i am not sure, you should check with your dealer to see if the part #'s are the same.

all i need is the cover.. there's a little crack in the foam behind the cover, but there's 0 damage. just the cover is all poopie looking..
i'm probably just going to buy the rear bumper and store it in my apartment for the winter.. no sense in installing it for the winter

everything besides front lights and bumper with minor mods fits all 99-03.5 proteges
mazda keeps everything universal and easy to upgrade/install. thats why MAZDAS RULE!
