View Full Version : Front bushing crunch when braking?

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem. THe weather is warm right now and I haven't heard it crunch at speed bumps. It only happens when I approach a total stop (feel the car bounce a little).

Yes and I have had this problem. It went away when I had the dealership turn down my rotors at 12k and came back when they got warped the next rain storm I was in. If FL rainstroms are hard to miss. Yeah only reason I can think that my rotars got warped is having to break hard enough that my abs came on during a Downpour. That is first time I noticed the nasty crunch.

...I just had my rotors turned about two-three weeks...I guess I'll have to show the tech on wednesday.

Its a constant and never ending problem ... just get used to it. Im on my 4th set of sway bar bushings and my car still sounds like a pinto when i go over bumps, turn corners, look at it cross-eyed. You name it. It the only thing that really pisses me off about it.

Yes this is not the rotors. My brakes are great at 45+ kmiles. I am sure I will have to get another set of front bushings.

For some odd reason, I feel like the handling of my car is getting worse (more body roll). I had my rear bushings replaced about 2 wks ago, but it's already clunking. The service advisor did mention something that make total sense to me..."stop visiting the forums and enjoy the car." I guess it makes me more paranoid. A lot me med students usually hve this problem. After awhile, they think they have the diseases that the just learned about.
