Hey all I was looking at my gauge today on the way home and at WOT my gauge will spike to 7 psi and fall to about 5.5 psi. I am all stock right now. I noticed that the needle will start vibrating at around 6 psi. What could this be?
fault gauge?
vac still reads steady and normal with a/c on 21-20.
turbulence problems?

What kind of gauge? The fall-off in boost as RPM's rise is universal- I've heard a few explainations from the plastic pipes to the restrictive exhaust. Who knows, but its universal.
The shaking gauge needle is also common for whatever reason- I can't figure it out. I'm on my 2nd Autometer, both shake.

yeah I have the autometer ultralite gauge. It didn't do it before and just noticed it today. Vacumm is steady. Really weird. I will check hoses tomorrow after work.

my vacume reads about 22 then if i kick the a/c on it falls to about 18 or 19...

i not worried about the boost dropping. I am worried about the boost needle shaking vibrating at WOT. never has done this before???
thanks

get a electronic gauge the needle wont vibrate.
the boost drop is due to exhaust and plastic IC pipes.. maybe even from the SMIC itself

could be caused by the waste gate opening up. the exhaust where the waste gate dumps is a VERY shitty design and cuases alot of turbulence...

better yet get a digital one. who needs needles anyways.
