Crap I'm so stuck it's not even funny. I originally knew I wanted the mpi tuner b/c my goal was to run 13's then I realized that a midpipe alone with my set up (fmic w/ harpipes, intake, colder plugs, bc) would get me to that goal. Then I thought for the longes time that ion's exhaust would not pass emissions In California but then I realized it woudl buy yea 1400 dollar.....no. Then I thought about going back to the mpi tuner but I don't know If I should skip exhaust and go straight for the tuner. And despite what everyone thinks, the mpi tuner is on sale for 715 dollars so I'm guessing a custom tb exhaust would be around there too so they would be about the same price. I've been messaging hella people for opinions and talking to all my friends and just confusing me even more. If I had the money I would get the ion exhaust but that is just to much money (although 22whp is frekin unbelievable) Well, like I said b4 13's is my goal and a tb exhaust would more then help me achieve that.... PLZ help my dillemma!!!

Exhaust for sure. I would get all your supporting mods before you start with any engine management. I got all the supporting mods first and then went with unichip, although I think I want the Haltech now, i'm ready for something that I can play with.

yea from what I hear 13's are attainable but I don't know why when I was at 10 psi I had so much trouble with my friend's bmw 330ci that supposedly run's only a 14.4

Get a turboback and you'll find out!! I'd just buy a catless midpipe for now and run that, you will notice a tremendous difference. It was a night and day difference when I put one on mine.

You were losing because @ 10 psi you have the large pressure drop with the FMIC and 2 cats that are restricting the output. This all equal a terrible spool up time because the turbo has to work extra hard to get through those two restrictions. You may get to 10psi, but not nearly as fast as you should. Delete the cats and bump it up to 11 or 12 psi (at your own risk:)

Well im going with the tb exhaust with hi flow cat and with my mods it should be safe at 11, problem would be traction though...

So before I decided to go custom, I want to know all the downpipe back or turboback set ups for our car... I here a lot of things going on and I checked the exhaus thread showing street unit's exhaust and essential speeds exhaust en other ones but are those only for one person or are they marketing to everyone???? Give me all the exhaust set ups that you guys know of and what company. Thanks guys.
