as some of you might know i did the 1st msp5 conversion on my p5 about 1 1/2 ago.
right now im running a fully stock msp turbo system with the msp flashed ecu. once i swap back to n/a i will have to wait a day or so for my n/a ecu to come in the mail.
question is.... do you think my p5 will run & drive with the msp ecu in it? i think it will start & run fine because the ecu wont see any boost so the ecu wont dump aditional fuel. what do you think? has anyone tried this at all? please let me know any feed back on this. thanks

it will probably bog down at WOT because of the fuel and timing maps but thats just my opinion

I'd agree with Ken. It will be dumping more fuel than the p5 because mazda designed it to>> turbo.

i think depending on fuel, it may bog down or be hesitant, much like when i ran SO damn rich with the MPI. so much fuel the car was clonking out.

NOT FUN.

^right.... thats what i thought. well i just need to drive it home a few miles from the shop. i dont plan on going any more than 1/4-1/2 throttle on it. i guess i will see in a few days once i get the car back. thanks guys(2thumbs)

you should be ok, just be prepared to idle yourself (hold gas down at light to prevent clonk out).

i drove mine to work, but it was NOT FUN when i have that problem.

as long as you stay in closed loop you should be ok.

well i drove the car home with the msp ecu. it worked fine, no bogging or cutting out. i even took it above 4k rpm's to see what would happen.... nothing! just thought id share the info...(2thumbs)
