Hey everyone, heres the next event. Nothing big, just gonna have some fun.
After we are done here we can go (wrc) or whatever the group feels like.

Members, please don't forget you're monthly dues.(2thumbs)

Anyone else thats thinking of joining, you know ya wanna. This group is gonna do some great things and right now its open to everyone. Eventually there will be group only meets and this is to be fair to the members that have paid. The more that join, the more MWM can do and offer its members.

Planet X is in the Canfields Plaza near 84th and Center. Lets have a good time.

Thankyou, Erik!

Yeah----doesn't seem like there was ever a whole lot of interest in that event! Plus a lot of us did something last weekend. I'm thinking once a month is probably good for an "official" outing. What do the rest of you think?

Somebody mentioned doing two drives....I've found a great place to go ---Memphis! (wrc)

I'm thinking we could do one drive in September and one in October....how does that sound??? (Dates below not carved in stone--yet!)

Memphis drive---September 12th. Would start in the morning, then stop in Memphis, Ne for brunch at Don's Bar. Then we could go to the park for awhile or just cruise some more and head back into town.

Loess Hills Drive---October 10th. Start around noon----head north on I-29 then hop on the Loess Hills Scenic Highway. Stop at an apple orchard, etc.

FEEDBACK?????

First off, I want to apoligize to everyone for not making it this saturday. I had some problems with my bank and could not get any money out. I had no cash on me so I no gas. Th only one I could get ahold of in the club was Michelle. I figured there would've been more people showing up. I didn't call ya kevin cause I thought you said you where not going. I don't know where everyone was.

Sorry kain bout this. Won't happen again that I can be sure of.

The next events will turn out better.

As in Nebraska.

There's a nice State Park out there. And there's this ratty hole-in-the wall bar that serves a Sunday brunch that I heard is pretty good. So I thought that would be a fun drive. It's not too far....just north of Ashland.

How does September 12th work? We'd meet somewhere in the morning and drive out there for brunch---it's only 9-noon.

I will do this event if I can get my rims and tires by then. Unless someone has some stockers I can borrow.

I will do this event as well! but just in case, is family welcome>? and yeah what is wrong with your rims>? ALSO!, where do you guys recommend for somewhere to work on a car>? (as in like coilovers, etc.>?) or does anybody have a nice garage with tools>?

Sure---your family is more than welcome to come along. My BF and my daughter (11) will probably come along. They love the P5 almost as much as I do!

Well, my car was hit a while ago. Not much damage but what I didn't know was it threw my alignment all out of whack. No all my tires are wearing much faster than normal. My springs are also suspect due to when my car was hit, hence getting lowering springs and alignment at the end of the month. My rims are Ok but I am not buying tires stock rims. My tires are almost bald and I wouldn't feel comfortable about taking a long drive at this time. Heck, I don't even like to drive to Omaha right now cause it's not safe and it also causes allot of noise and vibration at highway speeds. This wouldn't be a problem excpet I am getting jakced for Child Support so there goes the rim money this month. I am going to go to Metro Audio on the 1st to see if I can get financed. My credit is shot so this is the only place I know that can finance me. I am going to try and get the Springs, Rims, and tires their. Not my original plan but the tires on my car aren't gong to last another month.

So unless someone has some stockers that I can put on my car after I lower it and get it aligned, the above mentioned is going to be my plan.

You could goto Sublime and they could work on your car. They will charge ya though. I have a big garage with allot of tools, not mine but can use them. Of course I live in Shenandoah, IA but the invite is open.
Looking forward to meeting up with everyone on the 1st at Rush ST. Family is always welcome at any event.

how far is shenandoah from omaha>? and when you say sublime will charge me, do you mean like extra cause they are sublime or just in general>? (being an interactive director, their site DID NOT impress me) also, what about metro audio dynamics for installs>? also, what about hp motorsports>? (if you can't tell I am not from the area) :) if shenandoah is not far I might ask for your hepl on some stuff

Shenandoah is about an hour from Omaha. You could goto any of those shops really. All are OK. Some probably more than others. I meant charge ya in general.

I would be down to help. I have a garage full of tools. The guy that uses it is a small engine repair guy. Just give me some heads up as to when so I can make sure I am off. Never worked on a RX-8 or even my P5 for that matter. Would be fun. I wish I could put my springs on but I am afraid since my car has so many miles, I can see running into problems and be stuck with half the suspension off my car.

If ya come down, maybe we can make it an MWM day and have as many people that want to come down and help, then we can BBQ at my place, and cruise main street which is really small. If ya want to you can call me. Pm me and I will give ya the number.

Well if I was able to do suspension work on my old maxima in my parents driveway outside with my collection of hand tools (and a rented pair of spring compressors from autozone), anyone should be able to :D

Actually I don't know how hard coilovers are, but I can't imagine they'd generally be much more difficult than macpherson springs and struts. Though I imagine there's no haynes manual out for the RX-8 yet like I had for my maxima (I'm pretty sure there's an FSM though).

I'll check/keep an eye on the calendar for the drive events. Even if I'm not a full-fledged member, if I partook and there was club cash involved at any point, I'd pitch in.
