These are the things that I've had to get replaced. I know most all this stuff is all common issues.

*Alarm module (aAlarm didnt' work and I was unable to use my remote to lock the doors)
*Exhaust system (broke where everyones' has)
*Head unit (unit opens, stays open and looses power. This has happend on TWO decks)
*Subwoofer (blown, needs to be replaced from Mazda)

I've had this car just under a year... Sounds like Mazda needs to do some figuring out of electronics for sure.

but do notice- everything there with the exception of mazda is aftermarket stuff produced by racing beat, and kenwood, respectively. I think they just got crap for their second "tuner protege" (ie- mazda mp3 has good stuff, msp- kenwood and racing beat needed to make tons of parts fast)

yeah that's true...the things you listed are "aftermarket" parts added on. i think they skimped on the quality while producing these...fortunately for me i only experienced the sub's lines popping off (and one of the tinsel wires coming out, but i soldered that), and the headunit only flipped out on me once and still works fine, and my exhaust is cracked, but it's gonna get replaced for free (thumb)

jflo gets exactly what i mean. first time around kenwood and RB had to prove themselves worthy. Next time around it was all about cost cutting.

Racing Beat makes good products from what I have always seen. I'm sure whatever was done on their end was under the thumb of Mazda.

And the Kenwood deck can be purchased from stores, it's not like it was made for the MSP.

Regardless of who made what, it's all sold in a Mazda car therefore it all falls back on them.
