Wifey accidently left one of the dome lights on so my battery was dead. No big deal since I always back it into the garage... jumping it was a piece of cake. Only prob was... it did no good! Thing wouldn't even crank let alone start. After I disconnected everything and thought about it, I figured it might be due to the fact that the good battery had a bit of corrosion on it and maybe the connection wasn't that great. But I'm just not sure.... The thought of having it towed to the dealership scares the shit out of me. (my car's in prestine condition) So what do you guys think? Any ideas as to what's goin on?

you didnt jump it most likley. jump it again but remove the corrosion from all the terminals and clamps.

Also, if a battery is deep-cycled, won't it be more difficult to start?

deep cycled? this is the first time it's gone dead on me... also, even though the good battery had some corrosion, everything else seemed to work fine. (the alarm namely.... it was quite a sight seein me jump over the jumper cableonly to then dive onto the ground and take out the fuse for the alarm) but anyway... I guess I'll try again tomorrow after cleaning the battery off better. since the thing wouldn't even crank.... I doubt that'll work though. oh well

Have someone with a truck (or car with a big engin) give you a boost and get some thick cables and if doesn't start, get it towed.
WARNING:
This may cause damage to electronic systems but I have worked in a towing compagny for two years and they jumped all kinds of cars with theyr trucks and never had any problems.
