gasoline sensor broken

ok my problem is that the needle for my gas guage has gone completly broken and just sits right below empty even when i fill her up with gas. have no idea what it could be. i was thinking somehting along the lines of the sensor in the tank itself is broken or that the needle and the wiring are all messed up.

but the thing is about a month ago it was working fine i mean the gas sensor needle would fall down to E but when you hit it, it would pop right back up again....strange i know.. have no idea whats wrong...any sugestions

reset the ecu. you never know.

If you have a workshop manual there is a procedure you can do to check to see if it is the sender or the gauge.

I'm at work now, or else I would list what it says.

how do you reset the ecu?

disconnect the negative cable and press the brake for 10secs

your floater ball might be dead... which means it sinks to the bottom and the tank always looks empty...
