Alright, so I'm at the autocross and this guy asks to borrow my lug key, because he forgot his and he was just going to see if mine might fit. I have 2 of my slipstreams on and the other side of the car in the air. I let him borrow it, and proceed to take off my stock wheels, mount my slips, and then wait for my key back. Finally I notice the kid that borrowed it isn't there anymore. So...I have to run after him because he just decided to walk the course then, and not return my key. Before he did that he gave the key to his friend. I later realized why he did that. He had rounded my key completely, so he then tried to give it to his friend so it'd look like he did it. So I get my key back and it's totally fucked. I now have 2 slipstreams with azenis on, and the azenis/slips just mounted on the otherside fingertight. I put my stock wheels back on the one side, then try to get my slips off. We fuck up 3 lugnuts on one side trying to use the key to get em off so I can at least go home. No go. By this time I had already cancelled my registration. We mess with it for an hour or so, then realize it’s just not going to work. So…we go to the nearest pepboys (30 minute drive one way) and get a torx bit that looks like it might fit, and an extra set of tuner lugs just in case it doesn’t. So, we get back, and the torx bit fits. We get the slipstreams on the other side of the car, and they let me race in the 4<SUP>th</SUP> heat without working earlier, which was nice of them. Now, since I’d had to deal with all this shit, I never got to walk the course. Note, this is the most confusing course I’ve ever seen. So, 2/4 of my runs are off course, 1 was full of cones, and the other one was just slow. So my autocross just sucked cause of this kid. Now, I have the issue of getting the lugnuts off that got messed up from trying to use the key he rounded. So, I’m going to have to take my car to the shop to get them to remove them, for who knows how much. I’m also going to have to buy new lugnuts (the one’s at pepboys were bad $30 ones, that don’t look like they’ll hold up to anything). On top of that, I have to have all this tire wear on the azenis that I don’t want. Then it gets worse. Driving back from the event on the way to get some food, one of the center caps flys off one of my rotas, and goes straight into the woods. So now I’m down a center cap, a set of lugnuts, money for having to get a tire place to take off my lugs, and I pretty much wasted the $15 it cost to autox because all my runs sucked cause I couldn’t walk the course. I want to kill that kid. Also, he never apologized, and never even talked to me. In fact, he moved his car somewhere else and I couldn’t even find him. I’m now trying to figure out his name/number/screenname/anything.
I don't know if that made sense. I'm so fucking mad right now I don't know what to do, so lemme know if that story isn't readable. Today was the WORST day EVER.
