Does anyone know why I would have to push the alarm over ride everytime i need to start my car?? I dont arm the alarm or anything

Something fucked up somehow, probably when you disconnected your battery. All you do is remove the negative on the battery again and then hook it back up after a minute. Make sure all your doors are closed. Arm the alarm, then disarm. Everything should be fixed.

Thanks for trying to help guys but my battery dies within a week and everytime I try to start the car I have to over ride it. I'll have to get a new battery then see what happens from there.

well theres your answer you car alarm goes into the safe mode anytime the batt is disconnect. its a safety feature to keep thief from just reseting the alarm.

this happened to me as well, what happened was my door sensor that let's the car know the door is open (and turns on the door open light and stuff) was jammed in, so when it was only me in the car, i guess the computer thought since theoretically no door was opened, that me trying to start the car was not cool (basically because as far as the car was conserned, there was no one in it) i just loosened one of the screws, (top a believe) and it popped right out. no more problem. hope that helps
