Its probably a factory defect how the windshield was installed. I've done everything possible to upset the chassis and no windshield crack.

Mine happened when I hit a large water puddle with my passanger side tires. It pulled that side and the drivers side was on dry pavement. I guess it was enough pull to flex the car and crack it. Kinda sucks.

Sometimes strut bars can cause a pressure crack in the windsheild. Happened twice when I put a spoon strut bar on my delsol. Took the strut brace off and put on a dc sports and no problems. Not saying that this is the problem, but the change of the strut bar made a difference for me.

awsome, I am looking forward to a life of windshield replacements and creaking clunks. Mazda better be glad I love this car... http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/5/5_5_136.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001)

Once agian into the breach....

I am on my 3rd windsheild. Seems the third time is the charm. I told the installer about the problem I was having and he suggested using an extra amount of the mounting glue/caulking along the top edge and corners. I told him to go ahead I had nothing to loose. Well so far so good I have had no more problems with the Windsheild since then.

Just thought I would pass this along seems to have worked for me. (yupnope)

I finally got my windshield fixed a couple weeks ago. It was $300 to get it replaced without insurance but I have a lifetime warranty on it so as long as it cracks without an impact (like it did before), they will replace it for free.

i had to have mine replaced through insurance (still a 200 dollar deductible), but i think mine was a rock (impact) thing.

My window was fixed for free, but it got a rock through it a week later from a Semi truck....figures
