I went outside this morning to get something from my car and when I locked it with the remote the parking lights stayed on. This is actually the second time this has happened. The first time was when I bought the car. So I went to the dealership without an appointment and they replaced it within 1/2 hour. I am really surprised they had it in stock. This is obviously a common problem for them to have them in stock. Anyone else have there replaced more than once now?

This hasn't happened on my car yet, but there are several threads discussing this very problem. From what I understand, you just have to take it back to the dealer. Try a search for "alarm".

yeah, the alarm control module (the brain) is screwed up. There seems to have been a lot of problems. Mine included.
I brought it down to the dealer and like days later it was done.

Not to threadjack, but did our cars come with proximity detectors? I saw the sheet said "Perimeter alarm" and it sounds like the same thing to me. Mine are turned all the way down (from the dealership guy that owned it before me) but I haven't tried turning it back up yet.

I think "proximity" refers to a warning when you get too close. I believe the "perimeter" alram means it just sounds whan either a door a window is breached.

Yeah, you have enter the proximity before you can breach the perimiter.
