I've saved up for a 3rd Gen. RX-7 or other V6/V8 sports car. I wish I could keep the MP3 ... it's so much fun to drive, very clean, and gets great fuel economy. Deserves a good home :D More Pictures available at geocities.com/luckezero

Oh my gosh ... i just drove one of the cars I'm considering replacing the MP3 with... a 2001 BMW 330 with 5spd manual. Compared to the MP3, the shifter felt like pooh (real loose and hard to get into reverse... and I'm real familiar with the down and to the left), the interior felt looser and not as well put together, handling was only "okay," and the steering feel wasn't nearly as satisfying. The thrust of the ~216hp inline six was, however, moderately intoxicating. It didn't have quite the throttle response of the MP3, but puts an extra liter and two extra cylinders to good use ;)

Okay, here is the question, is it really worth another $11k (and that's not even to the retail used value!) and the more expensive maintenance/insurance? Please... maybe a M3, but that costs even more! The MP3 is the best deal out there. I'm sure somebody is going to be REALLY happy with their purchase of mine. The guy who rode with me thought the MP3 was a BMW too ;)

I think the G35 Sedan 6MT and Audi S4 (2000) I test drove a few months ago were better deal. BMW isn't earning my money with the 3 series...

Here are some more pictures I took last night. I hope to get some more in the sunlight and of the interior.

MP3 is still for sale. I ended up picking up a 2000 Audi S4 afterall... still think it's better than a non-M BMW 3 series :P

Approximate mileage is now 36,800. Car is in excellent condition... recently waxed and really looks good.

Make your best offer and have the pleasure of driving one out of only 1,500 U.S. MP3s (and a Mazda Certified one at that!).
