Thanks for input. Any idea what that does with the warrenty? Also I was planning on going with the HiBoost because I have seen a few people who seem to like it. Any other options I might have overlooked? Also the HiBoost comes with a custom blowoff valve, is this one as good as the GReddy or not, (or the same one, I didn't read through too much)?

the FMIC will void the warrenty if you take it to the deal with it on, if you need to take it to a dealer just take off the fmic and the intake

SMIC with homemade H20 or CO2 spray and a Downpipe.

Im surprised everyone said fmic. I would say a turboback exhaust and a c02 sprayer if your not gonna up the boost. There is no need for a fmic unless your boosting over 10psi.

A HiBoost FMIC would definitely help, but I also like the suggestion of SMIC, hardpipes, & IC sprayer. If you get the midpipe & hardpipes from DSMconvert's source, you can probably still afford the SMIC from **********. My DIY IC sprayer is only $7, so there should be no problem affording that, or you can spend a little extra & get one that doesn't run off the wipers.
However, I think exhaust is definitely the 1st performance mod that every MSP owner should get. There are TONS of options here, so you need to decide how much you want to spend on it & what you want out of it. If you need help deciding, feel free to PM or IM me & I can explain things further.

I want hiboost.... I'll make a new "black majik MSP's DIY IC sprayer" with more than four sprayers... It was easy to make... All MSP's should try it... Good "how to" from Black majik MSP.

I say exhaust.
Mark- you didn't happen to buy your MSP used from Performance Mitsu did you?

I'd do exhaust and an FMIC.
If you're cool with the dealership the warranty thing does not matter. I had my car serviced numerous times and I don't think there's a warranty on anything anymore.

Wait a minute, you're telling me we have a warranty on our cars? (dunno)

buy the cheapest DP you can find, Greddy SP2 or Corksport exhaust (depending on the noise level you're trying to obtain), and IC hardpipes. SHould cost you about $1000 for all that.
It just took me a while to think of it because I was staring at your avatar for about 10 minutes.

a) they were asking $$$
b) looked like it had a boost controller on it. i inspected the vaccum lines...
i assume you did? thank god if you did. some 16 year old girl wanted it cause "it's pretty!" i'm sure you put it to good use.

I dropped them 2k on the price. Possible they ran boost control. Came with gauge and boosts to about 7.6 which COULD just be a high stock. Yeah I love it. :) Came with CAI too.

Yea, good deal. They told me 17.9 and I laughed at them while I pointed to mine and said 16.2, brand new. They didn't like me much after that.
There wasn't a boost controller on, just signs of tampering with the WG line. Be happy you're at 7.6psi. I doubt I'm at 7 :(
BTW- I hope you never had to deal with the hefty hispanic sales guy. Everytime I went there to ask about Evo's, look at used cars; he'd offer to race me and my buds in an Evo. My friend(12 sec 240) accepted his offer and he shut up pretty quickly.

ACCEPTED :p
I was only at 5.5 stock & I got to about 6.5 with my exhaust, but now I'm maxing out at 5. :(

Get that exhaust outta there and get a free flowing one...... The stock intercooler and pipes are still doing okay (though the pipes are probably a good 20- 30% larger than stock due to some serious stretching.....) with more than 100 quarter mile passes and probably 50-60 of them in 13.9-13.5's @ over 102mph.
