stock radio?

Can anyone tell me what the standard radio is on the Mazda3? It's the one with the single CD in the dash. I'm wondering if I can add a Sirius tuner to the existing head unit or if I need to go with a Plug N Play solution.

There is a rumored option coming out for the 2005 Mazda 3 stereo to provide Sirius service. I've seen this discussed on another board.

I had seen that too, but it's not supposed to happen in the middle of next year and they are going to be factory installed. I'd like to add a tuner to my existing stereo.

Just to resurrect this dead topic, the 2005's seem to have the SAT button on the head unit. Has anyone had any luck getting the head unit swapped out in their 2004?

i had no problems changing my hu wiring was pretty easy no problems with the speakers working either all went ok any questions let me know
