are there any benifits in advancing the intake cam 1 tooth? or would it involve a complex procedure for it (more cons than pro) and would not be worth the time in doing so?

I believe one tooth is about 12° or so. I don't think you want to do that.
To find out the best set-up requires dyno time and proper adjustable gears.

DON'T DO IT!
you have a interferince motor meaning your pistons will hit your valves.
and if it doesn't hit,it will run like shit.
get adjustable cam gears, then take it to a dyno.
but it won't be worth the money.

dude, our motors are non-interferince motors! ive moved a intake tooth before and know alot of poeople who have done it and gotten great results. not better than adj. cam gears, but with the right combo of other mods could be useful.

Adj. Cam Gears won't really make anymore power. They'll just help move the available power around in the RPM band to where it's most effective.
I personally would no f&%k with your timing like advancing a tooth. Makes me scared. Whether or not the valves will hit the piston or not if 12 degrees is right. That's WAY to much intak advance for my liking. Makes me scared again.

I suggest not doing it if unless you are very mechanically inclined. Also you will foul plugs, idle like shit, and sometimes get a bog in the low end power band. I only did it for shits and giggles and I may be switching it back soon.

sorry about that I some times get ours and the eclipse/neon motors mixed.
I've done to many of those damn things.

thank you for all who replied.
