Just curious, because I damaged my driver-side rear door last weekend and it's real hard to find a door from a p5 for cheap.

It should; I believe the changes come after the C-pillar so the doors should be good.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yea, of course just any sedan. I just had a mazdaspeed car in mind to get a door from.

I mean, I hope someone has the answer here, but couldn't you ask a dealership for the part #s on a door for each and see if they are the same?

Well, at the rate that MP3s and MSPs are getting recked, you may have a better chance.

But yeah, check with the dealer; they don't help you out, contact Rich @ Texas Mazda: www.mazdastuff.com (http://www.mazdastuff.com) he'll give you the lowdown.

the answer to your question is YES...both the front and rear doors of the 2000-2003.5 P5's and Sedans are all the same.....so go for it.

I bought my msp wrecked. We had to replace all the doors and we used regular protege sedan doors. You will have to remove the molding and if its not power door, you will have to replace the power window motor.

Seriously? I just drove 3 hours to pick up a front door and they said they'd sell me a back one for real cheap, but the sedan one wouldn't fit. Have you actually tried a rear sedan door in a p5?

who did you check with? some salvage yard?

Just to give you piece of mind.....call a dealer....talk to their parts department....THEY will tell you for sure....

but the doors are the same on the sedans and the P5's

Rich at mazdastuff.com says that the rear doors for the sedan and p5 are different. Good thing I didn't buy one. :)

Good thing I didn't buy one. :)this is why I told you the best thing to do was to check with them....I had always been told they were.....guess there is some not so good info flying around boards.....and I have personally delt with Rich many times....he would not steer you wrong.

Guess I learned something new today too. (stash)
