Carbotech is out of my price range. Noone is sure if Hawk makes them. Akebono pads are too mild for app.
Anyone know any other pads for our cars?

I would like to know the same thing because I need to get new pads and the stock ones suck

stock protege pads DO NOT fit the msp. currently the only options we have open to us at Protege Garage are the stock mazda pads. They retail at the dealer for over $120 and we sell them for $99 shipped. we are looking into using 626 pads as we have heard that the rotors and brakes are similar if not the same

KVR makes a metalic pad for the front of the MSP and Corksport sells them:

KVR for the MSP at corksport, but seriously Carbotech are only $20 more, produce way less dust and have a much higher coefficient of friction. Run Carbotechs in the front and whatever is cheapest in the back (I run Bobcats front and Axxis Ultimates rear and jizz my pants at every autocross when I brake).

Hawk has HP for the fronts. Akebono also has a higher performance Ceramic/Semi-metallic pad I think. I'll have to check the places when I get home. I want street/track pads.
The only two F/R sets I've found are not recommended for track days... Bobcats and EBC Green Stuff.
"Bobcat is suitable for street, SCCA Solo 2 and Prosolo applications. Bobcat is not recommended for on-track driving schools or club racing."
"EBC Greenstuff is an excellent fast A road pad for all road legal cars, but is not for track day use."

Kyu, I believe Amber has Carbotech Panther XP9 up front and Axxis Ultimates at the rear for her MSP, and she was hauling ass on VIR (braking fast too!). She loved it.

No job, 100+bux is too much. I ended up ordering akebonos.
My rotors were warped twice and i'm thinking its the pads eating them up. When stopping i can hear the scraping sound.
