sup fellas...quick question...i have heard rumors that at higher boost levels (10 psi) there is a chance you can burn a valve...is there some kind of saftey feature in the msp to keep this from happening? has anybody ever fried a valve? if so, how should we go about preventing burning one

i didnt hear it about the msp..i just know its possible and i want to make sure that upping the boost isnt going to increase my chances of burning a valve

you'll detonate the msp before you burn its valves...by the time the heat gets hot enough to do any damange the cam lobes are opening the valves up to get rid of it...

maybe you were referring to the valve stem seals going bad.

we have too much fuel to be burning valves.....usually happens to NA cars with no backpressure in the exhaust.

you can burn the valves on any car but you need very high egt's to melt the valves. i am sure you will break a piston skirt from the pressure before the valves melt.
