Lately I have been noticing this weird sound coming from somewhere round the front suspension or engine compartment area. For the longest time the sound was faint and didnt happen much, but over the last few days its become more apparent. It sounds almost like a snap, or spark of electricity, and now happens over everybump in the road, and just now today when I was listening it was happening alot, with or without bumps. Its scaring the shit out of me. I popped the hood and looked around but couldnt find anything, and I cant quite pinpoint where its coming from, but its loud now and can be heard easily over my exhaust. I dont want to go to the dealership, I cant even begin to say all the problems ive had with them. Someone please help...............

I don't have much of an idea... but does it have anything to do with the amount of throttle? Or if you've been idling for a while? Or anything else that might help diagnose the problem?

I heard some detonation on another guys car and it sounded like static electricity crackling all over the engine compartment. I hope that is not what you are hearing.

I'll tell you what it is! Hahahaha.....or mooohaahaha...

Passenger side front bushing on swaybar, to the right there is a rubber ring with pressure clamp. See if this has moved to the right enabling the bar to wiggle more. If so, you have about 1/8" of clearance on the bar stock to metal. If this has worn, the only way to replace it is to replace the swaybar with bushing/pressure clamp (they don't sell it seperately). Instead, buy a T-clamp and hard rubber and make your own. I did, sound that was a click, then a clunk is now gone. Ask Bijou-MP5 how much of a pain in the ass it was.
