Just rolled 34,000 in my MSP. I recently changed the stock plugs and put in some new ones along with a PCV value. The plugs looked normal, which was surprising given the soot in the tailpipe. But the engine is healthy according to the plugs. Still have the stock tires, but the Goodyear's are going on real soon. I am still happy with the car overall. It should continue to be trouble free.

did you change the pcv valve?? If so, what part number was it and where did you get one and how much did it cost?

I bought the plugs and pcv form expressautoparts. Also bought some belts so I could get free shipping. I don't have the part number handy. The OEM was pretty gunked up and barely rattled. Its like a $4 part. The plugs where $13 each.

Postive Crankcase Ventilation valve.
Its located near the back of the engine and its serves to regulate the amount of ventilating air and blow-by gas to the intake manifold and prevent backfire from traveling into the crankcase.
You check it by pulling it out and shaking it. If it does not rattle when shaken, replace it.

6.9 up 14 psi for over a year.Werd!!! (2thumbs) I have 44k miles now. It just came back from the dealer and every servicable part on it was checked over. It passed with flying colors.
I started at 5PSI and have been running 10-16PSI from 2000 miles on up.
The only thing I have replaced on my own were the tires, I installed some Goodyear F1 GS-D3's.
