Our car just turned two today. On the way home, we clicked off 30k in the car!!
So far I have:
--Replaced the tires with Kuhmo ASX's---great tire so far. Those Dunlops are horrible! Bridgestone Blizzaks for the winter on cool steelies.
--Had the car aligned 3 times. Seems like a lot for 30k, but what do I know?
--Flushed coolant last weekend
--Replaced plugs--last weekend
--Cleaned PCV valve
--Had transmission flushed--last weekend. Wow, did this make a difference. I never noticed how hard it was shifting until it was completely flushed. It shifts as smooth as our new Accord. It's great.
--Air filter--last weekend
--Mobil 1 since day one with OEM filter---every 5k.
--Valvoline synthetic fuel injector cleaner every 5k.
--Zaino polish about once a month. No kidding. Two slight chips on the front bumper. I'm convinced the Zaino kept me from having more as we drive the car on the highway 99% of the time.
--1 rock chip on the windshield. Sealed and no longer a worry---I hope.
--Mazdaspeed exhaust---nice piece
--Acrylic front bug guard and sunroof wind deflector (this was a waste).
--Window tint---35% all around.
Overall? The car is great. I wish it had 50 more horsepower and 100lbs more sound deadening material. I also wish that the ground effects hadn't rubbed the paint down in the rear wheel well. It's to the point that I had to touch it up. The dealer tried and f-d it up more. I'm anal though. Also, there's some VERY small bubbling on the leading edge of the rear fender lip---inside the wheel well. If that ever pops open to reveal rust, the dealer is going to paint the entire fender, not just touch it in. D-heads!
Finally, I can tell it's loosening up. It rattles a bit more over bumps. Not a big deal, but clearly not as tight as our 2004 Honda Accord EX V6. That's a deathly quiet and FAST car!
I give the car an 8 out of 10.
Zoom-Zoom!!
