AC Switch Stuck on Heat...

Did this happen to anybody? The other nite my windows got kinda steamy (thumb) so I used the heated defrost on my windshield. Now it's stuck on heat and it's damn hot in Louisiana!!! Dun't wanna take it back to the dealer cause that's a waste of half a day; any suggestions?

Check under your dash for the hvac control cable. The stupid temp control is adjusted by a cable thats clipped to some plastic switch mechanism. If this comes loose your temp will be stuck. I believe its the cable on the left side under the center dash that controls the temp if i recall correctly.

This happened on my Protege ES....pain in the fuckin ass....traded the car before I fixed it...hehehehe

happened to me after my sub install, check the hvac cable as was said earlier, now MY problem is that my AC is stuck on the "head and feet" setting and won't go to the "just head" setting, it clicks in plkace and pops back out, taken the damn thing apart twice and no luck, oh well, fuckit

Brought it to the local Mazda Dealer and got it fixed under warranty:D . Only thing is... They had to take my damn car around the block fok fok fok(jerkit) ... just to fix this switch. But oh well, they did it for free.
