So I have my type s in there and at first I thought that the type s especially compared to the hks ssqv will be more of a woosh rather then the whistle but oddly enough its virtually all whistle. My computer can't play any sound clips but from what I've heard, it doesn't sound at all like what I've heard in the past. Is this how it's supposed to sound or...

I got the Type S on my HiBoost kit, its a little flutter, then a whoosh and then a whistle when it goes into vacuum.. its also adjustable too and i just got it so i hvaen't played around with it yet.

hey gimpo2, i saw your car yesterday, when I dropped off mine at spd, and actually drove 2 cars behind you on the mountain road heading back to escondido. Looking good.

As for the greddy type s mine makes a loud whistle as well. You get a small whoosh but its not nearly as noticable as the whistle.

Gimpo, I have the hiboost kit too. What setting is your greddy at? and also are you doing a dual set-up or just the type s alone?

the greddy type s is mostly whistle. i hate to make the comparison but if you've seen F&F, the green eclipse's bov sound, that's a type s. you can go here and listen to it on other cars: www.blowoffvalves.com

I have the black msp, which was there when you picked up your car. On the way back i was driving my friends black 96 accord. It had an exhaust leak so it sounded super ricey. We should be having another sd meet coming up soon, you should definitely come out.

If you want only the whoosh sound and no whistle, get the 19mm adapter fitting and screw it on. It cost me about $12 from Racing Works.

Check the link in my sig for a sound clip.

The sound changes considerably depending upon where you set it. The flutter is a little surge, so it should be opened up more, but if that causes stalling then leave it.

I've got a sound clip in my sig of my Type S. I will soon be putting a Type S on a MSP, so hopefully it sounds the same (bummer if it didn't).
