Local Shops?

Are people allowed to post local shops where they get work done and trust them? I don't know anyone that is into cars like I am so I have no way of getting references for Shops in NJ. Can someone let me know their shops they use in Northern or Central NJ or even southern orange and southern rockland counties in NY? The mechanics I know are regular old gas station owners that don't know performance.

Maybe people can post their local shops anywhere for other peeps like me.

Everything. :) Well, mostly performance stuff, like intakes, pulleys, springs, brake conversions that kind of stuff. I try to do the wiring stuff myself with audio/video but may look for help with some of that also.

For performance stuff, the easier things like intake, exhaust, etc. you could easily find a local member to do it, or just do it yourself. It's not that hard.

For harder stuff, there are some local people that can do it, but if you want to take it to a shop, try TurboTrix in Edison, NJ www.turbotrix.com . They specialize in Mitsu turbo cars, but will do work on other cars. And their work is top-notch. If you need any car audio / electronics stuff done, Dynamic Productions is right across the street from TurboTrix. They also do quality work.

I'm from Woodbridge. You should check out MTMA and try to make it to our meets.

I just submitted the form for MTMA. I wish I had my mazda for the NW jersey fun run. Gonna have to do that on my own. Didn't see any meets coming up, but will check back.

I think I can do intake my self, not sure about exhaust. especially without a lift. ;) Thanks for the references!

You don't need a lift, just two jackstands or ramps ;)

I'm going to update the calendar tonight, there's a couple of events going on in July and August.

Just went to a shop in parsippany, nj to buy an LOC and 555U. I asked how much to make a custom, carpeted fiberglass box for my spare well. 600 bux. Couldn't I make it for much cheaper than that?
