Seal almost gone ? (help !!)

Last night i was driving with some friends. at one point, i drove up next to the other car and asked something. I was doin about 50 mph, downshifted in 3rd and floored it to pass him.

About 5 mins later we stopped and 2 of the guys in the other car told me there was an oil-like smell comin out of my exhaust when i passed them and that there was probably a seal about to let go.

Anybody else had this happened ? I guess it happens when you drive too hard ... i go to the track once a week so i'm sure that didn't help. but anyway

anybody got an idea ?

yes if you have done any exhaust work to your car you are smelling the gas coming out of your exhaust probably. Mine makes plenty of black smoke w/out the cats and its smell real skanky

mine smells like ass, no cats and an extremly rich car will smell like that..

for some time i was actually scarred that a cop (driving behind me) could smell it.
i was also shaking when, on a red light, a cop pulled up next to me.
my car stank without cats.

i know that removing cats will most likely cause something like this, but it isnt my case. I also thought maybe it was because our cars run mega rich but i know the guy knows what he's talking about so i thought i'd ask you guys

one thing is sure though ... ill ask my dealer to look at it next time i go

My friend has a MSP with an Intake and stock exhaust and it smells worse than my car does with no cats... It puffs black smoke and smells so horrible i have to try and not choke. It could just be the nature of the beast that makes it do that in your car.

I saw my friend's MSP shoot black smoke last night and he didnt do anything to his exhaust

FMIC / Intake / ~10 to 12lbs of boost but a stock exhaust. So i dono ... i'm still gona ask my dealership to look at it. Cuz now, when i'm standing still and rev the engine to 3000rpm i hear a kind of rattle like if something was loose in the engine bay. I noticed this last night when i was at the track. So i'll definetely get it checked or fixed before my FMIC is installed
