Came up as neutral switch something or other. Autozone didn't have a record of what it meant, anyone have any ideas?

P0850: Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit
Did you recently wire something to your ebrake?

Damn, not recently, but that is the kill thing for my turbo timer. I removed all the wires going to my timer though, the parking brake being the exception. Guess I should take it off as well, huh?

try it, but don't expect the light to go off right away. it'd take a few cycles. After i corrected a problem, I had to restart my car 7 times for it to cycle away. Prolly not a good idea to do it all the same time, just wait, prolly will take you a day of using your car to cycle it out :)

Maybe check the neutral switch on the tranny for a short? Voltage on the A side of the harness should be B+ (while ign1 is on, but don't start the car). If it's not then there's your problem. Here's the manual where you can find info for inspecting the switch... (just search for neutral switch when you open it):
